The journey from the UK goes through some very attractive countryside and can be a very pleasant, though often very expensive, alternative to flying.

By Car: Serre Chevalier is easily accessible by road although the road leading up over the Col by LA Grave can become very snowy so snow chains or winter tyres are extremely advisable. The drive from the UK takes about 11 hours and goes through some nice scenery along the way but don’t forget to budget for French toll roads!  There is limited amount of free parking at the UCPA.  The address is UCPA Grand Serre Chevalier, 2 Route du Bez, 05240, La Salle Les Alpes.

From 6 March 2017 - The Chambon Tunnel between Grenoble and Le Cold du Lautaret will be closed. Alternate routes will go through the tunnel of Ferjus or the non-tolls road from GAP - Briancon - Serre Chevalier. Please research your route before setting off.
