Getting to Les Deux Alpes

By Air: The nearest airport to Les Deux Alps is Grenoble which is just 70km away from the resort. There are a number of low cost carriers flying to Grenoble and this is usually the most efficient and cost effective way of getting to Les Deux Alps.

A great website to use when planning your trips is Rome to Rio, which gives you lots of options , costs and links to book various travel options: Rome2Rio

Airport Transfers: We offer a shared transfer service for Saturday arrivals from Grenoble Airport through our partner company Ben's Bus. If you would like to use this service please add ‘Airport Transfer’ under travel options on the booking screen. You will be allocated a place on the correct bus depending on the flight time you provide us with.

Available between: 8th December 2018 until the 20th April 2019

Unfortunately they cannot provide a bus timetable as the bus times vary from week to week.

They have 8 buses per Saturday pretty much running every 1.5 - 2 hours and connecting with every single flight. The maximum wait time between a flight landing and our bus leaving is 2 hours, often much less.

Please Note The Following Exceptions:

– On the 8th December 2018 they only have services from Grenoble Airport to the resorts

– On the the 20th April 2019 they only have services from the resorts to Grenoble Airport

For mid-week transfers, a transfer will run when flights are coming into/out of Grenoble. Therefore, if you are not coming in or going out on a flight (e.g. if you are travelling by train) please contact the office to find out if an airport transfer would be suitable/available for you.

Transfers have an approximate time of 2 hours, however this may vary significantly depending on weather and traffic conditions. Please be aware that where disruptions are forecast transfers to the airport may depart resort significantly earlier.

Family week:

Ben’s Bus are unable to provide infant car seats and are unable to allow you to bring your own. This is because they cannot guarantee that they will fit securely into our seats. Ben’s Bus cannot guarantee that all the buses will have 3-point seat belts as some may only have the 2-point lap belts.

Children between 2 years old-11 years old

Children of this age group must occupy a seat like any other person.

Infants under 2 years old

Infants under 2 years old may legally sit on the parents knee and so can travel for free as they will not be taking up a seat. However, you should check the expected transfer time of your journey to ensure you will be comfortable. If you decide to carry your infant on your knee, please Ben’s Bus directly and tell them your infants' name so they have an accurate list of passengers. French transport law prohibits parents with infants on knees sitting on the front 4 seats, the middle seat at the back and the seats in front of the emergency exits, so you will need to sit on any of their other seats.

*Please note for shared transfers flights must arrive with plenty of time to pass through security and baggage collection, we estimate that it takes approximately 1 hour to go through Grenoble Airport however at peak times this may be significantly longer. Ben’s bus will wait up to 30 minutes after the scheduled departure time to accommodate delays. Customers on flights delayed over 30 minutes will be moved where possible to the next available transfer. Departing flights should allow at least 2 hours from arrival at the airport.

By Train: The nearest mainline train station to Les Deux Alps is in Grenoble (70km away) from where you will need to take a taxi or transfer service. Unfortunately the lack of a direct connection and the cost of tickets make this a rather unappealing option although you do travel through some beautiful countryside. For more information visit the SNCF website

By Car: It is possible to drive to Les Deux Alpes either from the UK or hiring a car in Grenoble. From the UK the journey takes about 11 hours and passes through some beautiful countryside. Snow tyres or chains are highly advisable for driving in the Alps in winter and if you are driving from the UK don’t forget to budget for the French toll roads. There is covered parking close by the centre at an additional cost.
