Getting to Les Arcs

By Air: The closest airport to Les Arcs is Chambery although most people fly to Geneva due to the greater availability of flights and transfers to the resorts. Flying to Geneva is easy from most UK airports.

A great website to use when planning your trips is Rome to Rio, which gives you lots of options , costs and links to book various travel options: Rome2Rio

Airport Transfers:

We offer an airport transfer service from Geneva airport on Saturdays with our partner company Ben's Bus. If you would like to use this service please add ‘Airport Transfer’ under travel options on the booking screen.

There isn’t a specific bus timetable as the bus times vary from week to week and are arranged to meet with the most popular flights. The maximum wait time between a flight landing and the bus leaving is usually 2 hours, often much less.

The transfer has an approximate time of 3.5hrs, however this may vary significantly depending on weather and traffic conditions. Please be aware that where disruptions are forecast transfers to the airport may depart significantly earlier. As this is a shared transfer service, the coach will make several stops en route to drop off/pick up passengers and you may have to change buses.

Please note, there will be no/very limited service on Christmas Day (25th of December)

Buses available on SATURDAYS from 11th DECEMBER 2021 - 16th APRIL 2022

The LAST bus on a Saturday will connect with the following flight times:

4th Dec: 15:10

11th Dec - 1st Jan: 20:10

8th Jan – 26th Mar: 20:15

April transfer times will be updated later in the season

On Sundays, there is a more limited service. The last flight arrival time on the 19th Dec is 16:30 and on the 26th Dec it is 19:20. If you are arriving on any other Sunday, please contact the office to find out prices and availability.

The first bus of the day will arrive in Geneva to connect with the earliest flight departure time of 09:25

If you are on a flight that arrives outside of the above times, you will need to book an alternative transfer (have a look at Altibus).

For mid-week transfers, have a look at Altibus

Ben’s bus will wait up to 30 minutes after the scheduled departure time to accommodate delays. Customers on flights delayed over 30 minutes will be moved where possible to the next available transfer.

Transfer bookings are made on the assumption that the transfers will be able to run with full capacity. If the transfer company has to run their transfers with reduced capacity we will contact you to let you know your options.

By Coach: Our partner company Snowexpress offers affordable and hassle free transport to the Alps, perfect for avoiding busy airports and peak season air fares! The coaches travel through the night from London Victoria arriving in resort on Saturday. The return coach departs resort Saturday evening giving you a full day in resort.

Coach bookings are made on the assumption that the coach will be able to run with full capacity. If the Snow Express has to run the coaches with reduced capacity we will contact you to let you know your options.

By Train: Getting to Les Arcs by train is easy, the nearest train station is Bourg St Maurice 19km from resort. A short funicular ride links Bourg St Maurice and Les Arcs. A free shuttle bus links all the villages of Les Arcs.

By Car: Les Arcs is easily accessible by road although the road leading up to the resort can become quite snowy so snow chains or winter tyres are a must. The drive from the UK takes about 10 hours and goes through some nice scenery along the way but don’t forget to budget for French toll roads!  There is free parking available just 100m from the UCPA centre although it is uncovered/unguarded.  The UCPA Les Arcs address is: UCPA Les Arc 1600, 73700 Bourg-Saint-Maurice.

  • There is always a range of ages, nationalities, mixtures of solo travellers, couples, groups etc. We have booked as a group of 6, a group of 36 (no joke) and even just me and my boyfriend – it works for all.

  • No matter how hard you try, when you book everything separately (especially with the Euro and price of food at the moment), you will never beat UCPA.
