Getting to Flaine

By Air: The closest airport to Flaine is Geneva which is just 70km away making Flaine one the most easily accessible resorts. There are a number of flights to Geneva from a nearly every UK airport most days.

A great website to use when planning your trips is Rome to Rio, which gives you lots of options, costs and links to book various travel options: Rome2Rio

Airport Transfers: We offer an airport transfer service from Geneva airport direct to Flaine with our partner company Action Transfers. If you would like to use this service please add ‘Airport Transfer’ under travel options on the booking screen.  Transfer length is approximately 1.5hrs. Transfers are scheduled according to flight times, there is not a set timetable. However the last transfer departs the airport at 21:30, and the first transfer leaves resort at 05:30. Please allow plenty of time to pass through the airport, we estimate it takes 1 hour to go through security and baggage collection on arrival and 2 hours on departure however at peak times this may be significantly longer.

*Please note for shared transfers Action Transfers will make every effort to wait for flights delayed up to 90 minutes, if a flight is delayed over this time the transfer may be rebooked which could incur a charge.

By Coach: Our partner company Snowexpress offers affordable and hassle free transport to the Alps, perfect for avoiding busy airports and peak season air fares! The coaches travel through the night from London Victoria to resort arriving on time to hit the slopes on Saturday.

By Train: The nearest train station to Flaine is Cluses (30km) although Geneva and Anemasse (70km) are also very close by and are slightly easier to get to. From all three stations there is a regular bus service running to the resort.

By Car: Flaine is easily accessible by road although the road leading up to the resort can become quite snowy so snow chains or winter tyres are extremely advisable. The drive from the UK takes about 10 hours and goes through some nice scenery along the way but don’t forget to budget for French toll roads! The UCPA does not have any parking however the resort has several different larger car parks.
