Activities in El Gouna

The various canals and beaches are well renowned for water sports enthusiasts, as well as relaxation seekers. The year-round great weather allows you to benefit from enjoying the sun, learning or improving your sport of choice in the winter, and exploring the local area in warm evenings.

As a specialist centre for scuba diving and kitesurfing, you can be well accommodated regardless of your level or experience. But if you fancy just relaxing, there is a fantastic infinity pool by the sea where you can put your feet up.

Scuba Diving

With various sites to explore each day, scuba diving in El Gouna is an incredible experience. Being able to cater for all levels, the centre provides good equipment, instruction and boat trips to the dive sites all included in the price. From deep walls to shallow reefs, there is something for all levels. There are some amazing dives in the wreck graveyard of Sha'ab Abu Nuhas, drift dives and even the chance to dive surrounded by dolphins!

Multisports

UCPA offer an amazing multi sports course which gives you the opportunity to give everything a go; Snorkeling, Scuba Diving, Kayaking, S.U.P, Wake Boarding, and a Desert Excursion. This is a true multi activity week in the sun!

Kitesurfing

The warm blue water, thanks to the shallow beaches and year-round warm weather, makes El Gouna a bit of a hot spot for kitesurfers. With an 800-metre-wide shallow lagoon and regular wind this is a perfect spot for beginners, as well as experienced kite surfers who are looking to perfect their technical skills. The best season to travel to El Gouna for Kitesurfing is from April to October.

  • All UCPAs are very friendly and sociable. The bar and dining areas are open with big tables, encouraging people to sit together and get to know each other. This makes it very easy as a solo traveller.

  • UCPAs are like an upmarket hostel. However, they are always comfortable and if you want to meet people, the rooms of 4-6 are a great way of doing so. Even better is most of the UCPAs have some twin rooms...

  • There isn’t a part of UCPA that I don’t enjoy, it’s some of the best holidays I’ve had and going to have.

  • Action Outdoors set up a personal group page and as a group leader, I did’t have to worry about taking everyone’s payments. Each group member is responsible to pay their own way through the group page directly to Action Outdoors. Win!

  • There is always a range of ages, nationalities, mixtures of solo travellers, couples, groups etc.  We have booked as a group of 6, a group of 36 (no joke) and even just me and my boyfriend – it works for all.

  • The UCPA has its own bar which is slightly cheaper than anywhere else in the resort. It has a pool table, comfy seats and a good atmosphere.
