Getting to Argentiere

By Air: Argentiere is approximately an hour’s drive from Geneva airport making it one of the most accessible ski resorts and the perfect location for short breaks. Easy Jet offers a regular and reasonably priced service to Geneva from a number of UK airports.

A great website to use when planning your trips is Rome to Rio, which gives you lots of options , costs and links to book various travel options: Rome2Rio

Airport Transfers:

Our transfer partner Mountain Drop Offs provides a shared transfer option directly from Geneva airport to Argentiere. They have a dedicated desk at the airport which makes them easy to find. The 8 - 15 person minibuses are frequent and Mountain Drop Offs aim to have you on your way to resort within an hour, however this may vary during busy times and low season.

Transfer timetable to be confirmed for winter 21/22 (transfers are likely to service flights arriving before 21:00 and departing after 09:30)

The transfer takes around 1.5hrs (but this may vary depending on the number of drop off/pick up points required en route)

Please note for shared transfers Mountain Drop offs will make every effort to wait for delayed flights, customers who are significantly delayed will be moved where possible to the next available transfer. Customers delayed beyond the last transfer may be placed on the first bus the following morning.

Transfer bookings are made on the assumption that the transfers will be able to run with full capacity. If the transfer company has to run their transfers with reduced capacity we will contact you to let you know your options.

By Coach: Our partner company Snowexpress offers affordable and hassle free transport to the Alps, perfect for avoiding busy airports and peak season air fares! The coaches travel through the night from London Victoria to resort, arriving on time to hit the slopes on Saturday. To book this coach service just add it under travel options on the booking screen.

Coach bookings are made on the assumption that the coach will be able to run with full capacity. If Snow Express has to run the coaches with reduced capacity, we will contact you to let you know your options.

By Train: It is possible to reach Argentiere by train, the TER and TGV train services go to St Gervais which is 20km from Argentiere. From there you can take a local SNCF connection through to Chamonix town centre from where you can catch a train or bus up the valley to Argentiere village. We generally don’t recommend train travel due to higher ticket prices and the lack of a direct connection.

By Car: Argentiere is easily accessible by road. The Autoroute Blanche (A40) comes directly to  Chamonix town and then you continue up the valley for about 10 minutes. The drive from the UK takes about 10 hours. It is a scenic route across France but the majority is on French toll roads so make sure to include this in your budget.

Car Parking  - Parking de Grands Montets is a large outdoor free car park located at the bottom of the Grand Montets/Plan Joran lift. You can easily access the UCPA centre. It is about a 10min walk on foot. There are also some smaller parking areas located at the train station and around the village.
