UCPA Youth Programmes

Arguably no one has the same natural ability, confidence and pure enthusiasm for skiing and snowboarding as teenagers do, and no one understands this quite like the UCPA. That is why the UCPA has introduced ski and snowboard programmes especially for young independent travellers aged 15-17.  The Youth Programmes have various different options allowing teenagers to escape to the Alps, either with mates or alone, for a week training with UCPA. Whether you are under 18 checking out your options or are a parent helping plan a holiday for your child, you have come to the right place. The UCPA has a very young, relaxed and fun atmosphere making it the perfect environment for teenagers and young adults. The all-inclusive package, sociable atmosphere and professional coaching makes the UCPA Youth Programmes the best value ski and snowboard holidays for under 18s.

The All-Inclusive Ski & Snowboard Package

The UCPA Youth Programme price includes:

7 nights accommodation in hostel style accommodation

Breakfast, lunch and dinner

6.5 days lift pass

6.5 days equipment hire

23 hours of ski or snowboard coaching

There are different levels of instruction to suit all abilities from absolute beginner to expert level off piste courses, for those keen to explore the backcountry. Everything is included in the price so only minimal spending money is required. Please note there is not an Action Outdoors rep onsite, these programmes are run and supervised by UCPA staff. The level of supervision depends on the course booked (see below).

There are two options for under 18s; the Youth Ski or Snowboard Programme suitable for young people aged 15-17 and the Youth Courses, a less supervised option allowing 16-17 year olds join selected adult programmes. These holidays are suitable for more mature and responsible teenagers who are confident travelling alone.

  • I can whole heartedly recommend UCPA to anyone, experienced riders or total novices alike will absolutely love it.

  • In my opinion, UCPA should really stand for something like ‘Unbelievably Cheap, Perfectly Awesome’ because it really is the best way to see the French Alps on a budget.  Or not even on a budget for that matter, because the enthusiasm of the instructors, quality (and quantity!) of the food and genera...

  • There is always a range of ages, nationalities, mixtures of solo travellers, couples, groups etc. We have booked as a group of 6, a group of 36 (no joke) and even just me and my boyfriend – it works for all.

  • I really liked the fact that everything was included in the package, from equipment hire, to all the meals during day; from skiing lessons to evening entertainments!

  • No matter how hard you try, when you book everything separately (especially with the Euro and price of food at the moment), you will never beat UCPA.

  • A la Carte week - Lessons were good. I went to a few that I thought would benefit me, off-piste and freestyle. The instructors spoke decent enough English and you really learnt as much as you wanted to.
