The main sports at UCPA Verdon are climbing, mountain biking, trekking, yoga, and canyoning, however the latter tend to form part of 'multi sport' trips.

Verdon has spectacular limestone cliffs, gorged out by blue ravines which make a perfect back drop to your activity. The ravines are up to 700m deep in places!

Rock climbers enjoy the incredible variety of routes on the limestone, with routes ranging from 20m all the way up to 400m high. Our guides have been working here for many years and know all the best routes for the current weather and your ability levels.

UCPA Verdon is situated in a small town called 'La Palud-sur-Verdon'. The town itself is a rustic, typical Haute Provence hamlet with a few small shops, cafes and restaurants. It is worth noting that the town itself is quiet, with most people staying there to visit the gorges of Verdon.

Food is included at UCPA Verdon, but should you wish to eat and drink out there are a few options nearby.

The centre at Verdon is basic but clean and well organised. It is situated on the edge of La Palud-sur-Verdon town centre, which is a nice quiet and cool area to escape from the heat.

Rooms

- 4 to 10 people per room (or camping, where stated on the course description)

- Twin room available (by email)

- Capacity of 42 people

All UCPA meals are buffet style and with multiple servings the norm; you won't go hungry.

Breakfast is normally yogurts, cereals, fruit juice, coffee and bread - don't be surprised to see that the coffee and tea is taken in a bowl!

Lunch is normally made by you at breakfast. You can typically expect to make a sandwich with some snacks and fruit.

Dinner is a 3/4 course buffet - typically a salad bar style starter, a choice of 3 hot main courses, a cheese and cold meat platter and ice cream/dessert.

Due to the cost focussed nature of UCPA and the wide range of dietary requirements, it is impossible to accommodate everyone as standard. If you have any severe dietary requirements please contact the centre two weeks before to let them know. Generally speaking vegetarians will find plenty of options, with vegan options being a little more scarce but improving year on year.
