Paul Rigby - UCPA Snowboard full time Les Arcs

After previously having skied at the Tignes centre and with a group trip to the Val d’Isere centre fast approaching, I made a decision to utilise some time off to go away on my own, make a move to the dark side and learn to snowboard on my own. I booked a flight and a week full time at the Les Arc centre and off I went. I was very apprehensive about being away on my own but needn’t have been. I quickly got talking to a group of 12 Australian blokes, 4 Spanish girls and 2 Germans. The instruction was top notch and good technique from the start helps you progress quickly. That was in 2007 and I returned this year to the same centre, met and chatted to my original instructor and was stoked to be moved from the advanced group into the expert. The food is amazing and they’re happy for you to have seconds once everyone has been fed, always a bonus on steak night! Got to feed the guns! This season it’s Off Piste Boarding in Chamonix, can’t wait!

Jane Scoon - Course, UCPA Ski half time Flaine 2008

Have been meaning to email you to say how much we enjoyed our time in
Flaine. All the arrangements with Action Outdoors were great. I liked the
booking procedure making it easy for each one of us to pay separately. Both
transfers worked like clockwork with the drivers texting us to confirm
times. We really loved the UCPA in Flaine. The food was fantastic and
plentiful and we met some really nice people. It was great having
everything arranged in one place too, the lift pass, ski lessons and ski
hire.

All in all it was a fantastic holiday and we would definitely go again. We
also had perfect powder snow and only could have done with a bit more snow.

"Just wanted to say thank you for your help in organising a great holiday with UCPA at Hyeres for me last week. I had a great time wind surfing, which in hindsight was better than the catamaran sailing as I have now learnt a completely new sport!

Despite being the only English person there, there were about 18 Swedes so I wasn't the only other English speaker. Either way, I was looked after superbly and was made to feel very welcome, with great food, weather, equipment, tuition and social activities. I will definately be getting in touch again for both Summer and Winter holidays...
