Solo Travellers

The UCPA holiday packages are absolutely perfect if you find yourself travelling alone. Whether you have some extra holiday time to use up or your friends aren’t interested in the same activities as you, no problem, you will meet lots of similar minded people in the same position.

With no single supplements and a range of evening entertainment available, our holidays are perfect for single travellers. The friendly atmosphere, group instruction, shared rooms, social bar and the communal dining makes meeting people easy. So if you’re struggling to organise a holiday with friends take a look at the programmes UCPA has on offer.

About the UCPA

The UCPA is a very unique adventure holiday company. It is a not for profit organisation aimed at making outdoor sports and quality coaching available and affordable to young adults aged 18-45. They offer incredibly low priced, all inclusive holiday packages; accommodation, meals, lift pass, equipment hire and instruction in your chosen sport is covered in the price. UCPA has activity centres in some of the most prestigious resorts across France. The accommodation varies between resorts but can best be described as somewhere on the scale between very nice youth hostel and basic hotel. The centres are warm, clean, comfortable, relaxed and sociable places to be.

The same all inclusive package is available for solo travellers and groups:

  • Multi share accommodation
  • Full board
  • Lift pass (if required)
  • Instruction
  • Equipment hire

Organised Weeks

The great thing about UCPA is that as a solo traveller you can travel any date and to any resort and still be confident you will meet people. If you are a bit more apprehensive about travelling alone you can join one of our organised singles holidays. During the winter we run a number of singles weeks which are attended by between 10 and 40 solo travellers and a member of the Action Outdoors team. They will make initial arrangements for everyone to meet on day one so you can relax and enjoy your holiday with new friends from the start. These 'singles' or 'solo' weeks are not about dating; they are about meeting similarly minded people, enjoying the sports and the surroundings.
