Getting to Les Contamines

By Air: The closest airport to Les Contamines is Geneva which is 100km away, mostly along motorway apart from the last 20km, making Les Contamines one the more easily accessible resorts. There are a number of flights to Geneva from a nearly every UK airport most days.

A great website to use when planning your trips is Rome to Rio, which gives you lots of options , costs and links to book various travel options: Rome2Rio

Airport Transfers: We offer a private airport transfer service from Geneva airport to Les Contamines. The transfer length is approximately 1.5hr. This may only be suitable for larger groups travelling together due to the price. Alternatively it is possible to take a train/bus/airport transfer to the neighboring town of St Gervais. From here there is a fairly regular bus up to Les Contamines. View 2015/16 timetable here

By Coach: Our partner company Snowexpress offers affordable and hassle free transport to the Alps, perfect for avoiding busy airports and peak season air fares! Coaches travel through the night from London Victoria to resort arriving in time to hit the slopes on Saturday.

By Train: The nearest train station to Flaine Altair is Cluses (30km) although Geneva and Anemasse (70km) are also very close by and are slightly easier to get to. From all three stations there is a regular bus service running to the resort.

By Car: Les Contamines is easily accessible by road although the road leading up to the resort can become quite snowy so snow chains or winter tyres are extremely advisable. The drive from the UK takes about 10 hours and goes through some nice scenery along the way but don’t forget to budget for French toll roads!
