Port Barcarès

Port Barcarès-Leucate is a renowned place for kite and wind surfing and had to be on our list of centres. We are offering 3 weeks at Port Barcares due to the demand for the activities - 19 Jun, 24 Jul and 7 Aug - simply to bring the English speaking nationalities together to help the UCPA instructors and staff.

Dates and Prices

Resort

With the Tramontane wind meeting the sea breeze, Port Barcarès-Leucate is a renowned place for kite and wind surfing. Perfect for all abilities, it provides a fantastic location for a week improving your air time! Located on the Mediterranean coast near the Spanish border, the resort is both sun and wind sure. Although the centre only caters for a few activities, the Action Outdoors team believed that the opportunity to offer such an ideal location for any enthusiasts (or enthusiastic beginners) was a must! The Salses Leucate and Coudalère waters are within everyone's ability, from beginners to freestylers!

Overview of UCPA

- Located on a spot known internationally for its windy conditions: 280+ days of wind per year, open shallow waters
- A friendly, socialable and lively atmosphere seems to be the norm.
- Patio and terraces facing the water.

Town Centre

We haven't yet been to visit the town of Port Barcares but look forward to sampling the bars for the right up! (April 2011)
