Your guide will review the basics of safe mountaineering practice and help you improve your skills and experience whilst completing some great days out in the mountains. UCPA Mont Blanc 4810m Summit Climb

Summit of Mont Blanc 4810 m

The highest summit in Western Europe, Mont Blanc, is not a highly technical climb, but does require an excellent level of fitness & acclimatisation. The UCPA course varies considerably from other advertised trips. Most of all the UCPA program is 2 weeks, instead of the typical 6 day trip. There are two main reasons for this are acclimatisation and autonomy. The goal is not to "drag" you to the top of Mont Blanc. The two week course allows plenty of time for you to learn and perfect the techniques to climb Mont Blanc safely. The time spent doing this is highly enjoyable, climbing other routes within the Mont Blanc area. You will also be superbly acclimatised which means the actual ascent of Mont Blanc will be far more enjoyable.

Level

You should already have experience at Alpine PD level and you do need to be in good shape. If you have excellent UK hill walking experience, with some winter & summer climbing skills then call the office for some advice.

Ratio

1 guide per 6 clients, 1 guide per 4 clients for the actual Mont Blanc days
