Wind Surfing
With the advent of modern short, wide boards, windsurfing has never been so easy to learn.
For beginners you will start with sessions on the beach using a simulator to learn how to uphaul, steer the board, tacking and gybing, at each stage practicing the skills on the water. As you progress you wll be instructed and coached from one of the many RIBS (Rigid Hulled Inflatable) that the centre has.
For improvers there will be coaching on beach including starting, harness, foot strap use and learning to plane the board. Your upwind skills will be developed as well as your flare gybing.
For experts you can receive coaching on water starting, carve gybing, jumping and speed sailing.
There are a good variety of boards by Hifly, Bic and JP to suit all levels and conditions, sails are from Simmer, Severne and Nautics - again in a good range of sizes.
There are 9 1/2 day sessions under instruction, with one 1/2 day free sailing.
The weather at around Hyeres and Sanary tends to be thermal based, generally quite calm in the mornings then benefitiing from a good sea breeze in the afternoon. Check out the details on Windguru here: http://windguru.com.
