Specialist Ski Courses

UCPA offers a number of specialist courses for adrenaline lovers people who want to hone skills beyond regular skiing. Hit he park, fly with a parachute or smash down a race course. Really take your skiing to a new level!

Speed Riding

A cross between paragliding & skiing - very full on! UCPA provide all the kit plus instructors (dual qualified ski & paragliding). Your ski level needs to be advanced (comfortable off-piste) and you need to have a good thirst for adventure. We have a beginner level course for those who are completely new to the sport plus an intermediate level for those who have done at least 1 week before.

Free Style Skiing

A week of coaching in the snow park - obviously you need to be a good skier already plus an interest in gymnastics or trampolining will help enormously.

Competition Skiing

A week spent bashing the gates and improving your slalom or giant slalom techniques. Very useful if you are either competing at club level, or thinking of working towards your EuroTest for ski instructor exam.

Les Arcs |

Firstly I would definitely recommend Action Outdoors. This is the 5th ski holiday I have been with them and they have always been very helpful even when I have had to change details of members of my party or cancel a person's booking who couldn't go.

La Plagne |

I went to La Plagne in jan on a solo holiday. I was a bit nervous about meeting a load of strangers and was my first time skiing too! Well I needn't have worried. Keryn our rep made us feel really welcome and brought us all together. The UCPA centre was fab. Clean, warm and great food. The views up the piste were just gorgeous. I could not fault the holiday at all. Well organised, safe and loads of fun. I would definitely book through action outdoors again. Thanks guys. I've a new love for skiing :-)

Tignes |

I spent the New year in Tignes at the UCPA and had an amazing time. It was my first time at UCPA but do enamoured that I immediately booked a second trip for February.

Serre Chevalier | Ski Full Time Instruction

I went to Serre Chevalier in February. The centre was good, pleasant bar area and reasonably sized double rooms. The instructors weekly jump show into the swimming pool was a highlight.

Tignes |

I recently stayed at the Tignes (Val Claret) UCPA centre and had the best weeks skiing ever. I booked through the Action Outdoors website which was pretty straight forward. This was my first time in a UCPA centre and I was travelling with my girlfriend and four friends – a mix of skiers and boarders ranging in experience from complete beginner to ex-seasonaires. On arrival after a long coach journey we were greeted by a cheerful and  welcoming team at the UCPA centre who gave us the lowdown on the arrival procedures. The centre was extremely well organised and helpful staff made the task of checking in/booking onto lessons/collecting lift pass and equipment so much easier than I have experienced in any other resort.

  • The chef at the canteen always tried their hardest to provide varied yet nutritional dishes. The meatballs were simply to die for!!!

  • The instructors always push you to go that extra mile – I even managed to go down the mountain backwards last time! – but are totally cool when you’ve had enough and that vin chaud is calling your name.

  • The best thing about this holiday was the people I met! Everyone loved skiing/snowboarding/being outdoors, so we had a lot in common already.

  • The food offers great variety, choice (several options each night), quantity (as much as you want) and quality is decent (7/10). Cheese and yoghurts coming out of your ears, packed lunch option, afternoon...

  • A la Carte week - Lessons were good. I went to a few that I thought would benefit me, off-piste and freestyle. The instructors spoke decent enough English and you really learnt as much as you wanted to.

  • The food is to die for too! A good breakfast with the option of a packed or hot lunch is only the start – crepes are often available on return from a hard days skiing followed by a gourmet dinner...

  • UCPA is a unique and brilliant experience, I would not describe it as a hotel but also not hostel it is somewhere in-between. Its a place where meeting people and making friends...
